To enter God's rest, we must be willing to trust in him.
Hebrews 4:3 describes how the Israelites that refused to believe God were unable to step foot in the land he had prepared for them.
Hebrews 4:3 For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,’” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world.
Just as unbelief is accompanied by anxiety, trust is accompanied by peace.
Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.
Your quietness and confidence in the promises of God are not only proof that you trust him, but they are key to entering God's rest.
